In Japan, it’s very normal for the head of something to take all of the heat, so in the Other M scenario, Sakamoto did just that. Despite Sakamoto clearly not making the decisions with Other M, he felt responsible for who he gave it to, and in that, he apologized and tried his best to take as much heat off of Team

Not necessarily, because #1 is applicable to #2. Without the bitching, the comic would not have been funny at all, even with the Chamillionaire reference. It’s all about relevance.

I don’t think that was the case with Other M. Even Japanese gamers were sorely upset with it (I live in Tokyo). The problem was giving it to Team Ninja, which has a reputation for being racy and non-PC (Politically correct). They basically took all of the mystique of the Metroid series, all of the strength of Samus,

It still can’t defend well against those long shots, especially against the Charger. It is absolutely the Roller’s weakness.

The only reason there is a “Fuck” expression in Japanese is because of English, same goes for the middle finger, other expletives, and numerous other swears/curses.

3D World is definitely a “new” 3D Mario game, and it is absolutely amazing! One of the best Marios ever. I’d put it right up there with Super Mario World and Mario Galaxy 1&2.

Yeah. After I played the tutorial on the first round, I just kept telling myself, “If I can’t turn off this gyro control, I will NOT buy this game. As soon as it was over, I saw on the top right a “Controls” option. Went into it, and sure enough, was able to turn off the motion controls. It’s a much better game that

You could change the controls. I hated using the gyro, so I turned it off and changed the camera completely to the right stick. Made my experience so much better!

I was actually one a couple teams that had no Rollers, and we still played well and won. Sure, with a Roller, painting would have been so much easier, but killed isn’t necessarily easier with the Roller.

People just need to realize that it’s best to balance teams and not spam one weapon. I’m sure this will work itself out once the game is released and people begin to see the value and weaknesses of each weapon.

Haha. If you don’t know what Splatoon is, then it doesn’t help to better understand.

Completely agree, and that was my point. Rollers work best on a balanced team, but if the team is heavily Rollers (3 to 4), they are absolutely going to get wrecked by an experienced team.

That IS logic. We exploited the Roller’s number 1 weakness, and that is its lack of distance. While in your spawn bubble, you can attack your enemies, but enemies can’t attack you until you exit the bubble. We were just far enough away where the Rollers couldn’t hit us, while we were perfectly ready to take them out

No. All the forums I was reading during each session were filled with “The Roller is too OP!” threads. I can’t even begin to tell you how many people were saying it was broken and unbalanced, and it needs to get fixed immediately before the game’s release.

I’m sorry, but the Roller in Splatoon is anything but OP. One round, my team had 2 Splattershots (One being me), one Roller, and one Charger (Sniper), and the other team was literally 4 Rollers. It started off very normal, just trying to paint everything, and then I thought, “I wonder if I meet them at their spawn

Don’t offer me that piss-tasting, rape-encouraging beer!

Where did I ever imply I was a fanboy? This is where you are being judgmental. I never implied such a thing. I only ever communicated that Nintendo is doing fine, and should we really be so shocked? They’ve been in the gaming business for 30+ years, so they definitely know what they are doing.

Sadly, it wasn’t actually a 3DS game. It was a DSi game, so it actually looked kind of ugly on the 3DS. A redone version of the GameCube Four Swords Adventures has so much more potential and could look really pretty, like how A Link Between Worlds looked.

What are you getting at? I’m not claiming anything. I’m just simply saying Nintendo is fine, and I’m laughing at the fact that people continue to post these “Nintendo is DOOMED!” posts. They are not “DOOMED!”. In fact, Nintendo has so much money in reserve right now that they could lose $250 million every year or the

I completely disagree. Remember, Nintendo is not a huge company like Sony or Microsoft, so their necessities are significantly smaller than both of their gaming competitors. Where Sony is taking major losses from several of its divisions, Nintendo doesn’t have such problems. Sony is posting billion dollar losses each
