I don't get why this is such a "failure". It's not like it's an impossible activity. The only real failure in the New Nintendo 3DS is the continued use of region-lock. Otherwise, it succeeds in every way.

It's also for the new faceplates. It's honestly not a big deal. I've had the New 3DS for a while now, and after I transferred everything over from my original 3DS LL, it has been no problem changing faceplates or upgrading the micro-SD card.
