It's not ridiculous at all. If they already have a good idea in place, why not take advantage of the situation and give it a try? I'm not saying this is absolutely the case, but I'm proposing the possibility. I'm no more incorrect than anyone else, because at this point, we have no fucking clue.

Why not? You're making an absolute statement in an unknown circumstance. I'm giving everyone an alternative.

Service was down already, and it was unscheduled and completely unprepared. Instead of just bringing it back up to normal like Microsoft did, Sony is obviously doing something. We just don't know what. I'm already seeing that Xbox is having some problems again, so clearly, they shot they gun too quickly.

You are talking about Sony here. When do they ever give you an ETA? ;)

It wasn't their choice for the entirety of Christmas day to be out. I'm sure they've been working on it hardcore since it started. Remember, some of us do have vacation time, but Sony employees probably had to walk away from their families to work on this shit. If anyone is to blame, blame those assholes that actually

Because if they tell people they are purposely keeping the network down and flooded, that would piss gamers off even more than just keeping silent. However, imagine if they do find a resolution to this type of attack, and then bring the network back online with the message, "Never again will they be able to do this to

That's been our exact situation.

They've survived this exact attack numerous times this year already. Why is this one different? I'm not saying my suggestion is absolute, but what if they are testing?

If the attack was on Christmas, then why not just keep it down a little longer to test things out? I'm not saying this is absolute, but what if it is the case? Even if they can't find a way to counter the DDoS attack, they'd be testing during a time where the network was already down.

Has it occurred to anyone that Sony might be testing ways to counter DDoS attacks? Hence why some people can randomly still sign on while most can't? Maybe they are DDoS attacking themselves while attempting to find out how they can prevent this from happening again. If that's the case, I would be strongly behind

"Usually this doesn't happen with a reputable store..."

Saying Nintendo is immature is in itself immature. The Metroid series follows Samus, a lone wolf that has been through serious trauma and devastation in her life. She has experienced her loved ones die before her, she catered to and mothered a dangerous alien, and has overcome terrible odds.

Darksiders 2 on Wii U is on sale on the eShop right now for $8. That is a steal! Especially since the game comes with all of the extra content. If you haven't played Darksiders 2 yet and own a Wii U, there's no excuse. Go do it!

EA is a shitty company too with some pretty bad practices, but EA pales in comparison to FIFA. The worst part about EA's FIFA is that it is a combination of two awful companies.

Played every single one of them, most of them numerous times. The Halo games are all super-fun, but saying the stories are good is just ignorant. They're bland, generic, and again, Master Chief is especially is an awful main protagonist.

I'm quite frugal too, but when you are able to get like 20 games off of a Steam sale for under $50, well, you just pile on a backlog. hahaha. But I am glad that nothing is enticing this time, because I'm still slowly catching up with my backlog. ;)

This is the first Steam sale in a long, long time that I'm just not excited about. I've got most of the games they've already discounted (Which were all discounted heavily during the Summer sale), and the newer games just aren't discounted enough or aren't interesting enough for me to want to throw my money down.

Halo's story is also crap, and Master Chief is an awful character. He's a shell with zero personality. The best Halo story, game-wise, was ODST, but everyone thinks it's the "worst" Halo, despite actually having a decent narrative. Halos 1-3 were all poorly told.

You realize that you are comparing numerous games/books/media to one game, right? Destiny is still at the beginning of its life, and Halo has been around for a very long time. And just because Halo has a recognizable fictional world doesn't mean it's games have good stories. They're scattered, boring, and Master Chief

I agree. Halo's lore is fantastic, but so can Destiny's. It's just Bungie's storytelling is so bad. It all seems so disorganized and hard to understand where they're going, but yes, the world, universe, and aliens are all awesome.
