Isn't the needless inclusion of extraneous software like this the reason people use Linux instead of Windows or OSX in the first place?

@Reutnes: Thanks, can't believe I didn't think of that. [not sarcasm

@Jnahajski: Are not most basement geek's dreams damn expensive ?

@wjglenn: Thats a lot of DVDs to mail! (or a big, sensitive HDD to trust to the USPS)

@AdamPflug: I was thinking of something similar to this, actually. If a friend or relative of mine also has a static IP and a web server, could we store active, off-site backups of each others data?

A problem that I've found with my subordinates (one I also share), is that they won't do anything I tell them if it's in the form of an oft buried and easily ignored email. Once you have a full two-way conversation, however, it gets a lot harder to blow something off, since, in a phone call, you actually have to

@TheFu: Off topic, but... how do I bold/italicize my comments? Is there a tutorial somewhere? It would definitely help add emphasis. [like on the word "emphasis"]

@TheSwagger: Go ahead with the kidneys, but you can't live without your liver (yet). I'd go ahead and get rid of that spleen instead, it's just weighing you down anyway.

So basically, an email is only safe if its pure, dull, boring text. Everything else is suspect.

I'm alway happy for more options, but personally I dislike lightbox. I intentionally avoid it whenever possible, usually by opening the image link in a new tab.

@dB Photography: I hate texting too. I mean, I have no friends to text, but I swear that's not why.

@Merricat: I believe it was "so the photocopy carries a bit of authenticity."

Great article, ethics aside. As mentioned, dynamic IPs are tricky. Is there any way to route to a dynamic IP without using a third party? I've checked but haven't found anything. Also, "merry" not "marry" (sorry, can't help it)

@jmonty: According to the February 2010 issue of Popular Science: "Together they outweigh 100 Empire State Buildings and could circle the equator three times."

Interesting, Minesweeper in this simulation has some flaws, the location of the mines contradicts the numbered tiles.

@pekosROB: True! However, there are free alternatives available, so I suggest you mosey on over to XDA before shelling out any cash. WinMo ftw!
