Like the ABCs of Death films, the VHS collections usually have a percentage of genuinely great stuff amidst the dreck. Well, except Viral which was disappointing. My only question mark is if the Timo segment will be gory and great or gory and awful.

The first two had some of the most inventive and batshit insane (the cult one and the succubus one for example) horror shorts. The third one wasn’t that good. I’m still interested to see the new one.

The good: this reminds me of the one with the cult, which was bravura bonkers bugnuts

Norm never did get to come out the closet. Because as everybody knows, he was a deeply closeted homosexual man. He wasn’t gay, that needs to be said, he was just incredibly deeply closeted.

I’m totally one of those boring “Weezer was the most important band for teenage me, but I fell out of love after Maladroit”-guys. That said, I really appreciate this list, for a couple of reasons:

I’m by no means a Weezer afficionado but it was really great to read someone writing with passion and eloquent enthusiasm about something they love.

It does. Unfortunately, it’s the news coverage of every mass shooting.

So I am 23 seconds in and what is fascinating to me is that he is clearly, genuinely, proud of that accent. Like, he worked on it, or maybe he feels he has a natural gift, and I think on some level he wants some recognition, some praise for doing such a good job (in his mind) with that accent.

Meanwhile, Stefan Urquelle will be enjoying a snifter of cognac by the fire in the company of two or three fetching young ladies.

They should have just given Ray Gillette his own series.

Shore Leave 1000% better representation than anything on this show.

Truly still thrown by the fact that so many people who have made so many shows I have enjoyed came together to make this thing I could not stand. 

Speaking about queer characters and Venture Brothers, Shoreleave was easily one of my favorite characters.

At least Gary Cole is getting work...

I’m still surprised that pretty much everyone but him knew that including Kid Rock was a mistake.
