Apparently I'm the only person anywhere who is interested in this? An android TV box that isnt underpowered? So I can theoretically run XBMC and apps and emulators on something where it isn't constantly stuttering (Looking at you Fire TV), or the UI is so convoluted that if I dare hand a remote to someone they just

Pretty spiffy, but I think we're going to have a differing opinion on the meaning of "comfortable"

Maybe Nuu is just too New. Nothing opening in DC? Unlikely.

I went about 12 years without going. First trip back, everything is great. Two trips later at the suggested 6 month interval, all of a sudden I have 2 cavities. I blame the dentist!

Treat them like their time matters too. It won't help you get their attention faster, but it will result in better service (for everyone). If it takes five minutes to get your order in, that's five minutes where no other tables get any attention. If you're not ready (not in a "I have questions about the menu" type of

They most certainly aren't entitled to it. Do they depend on it? Definitely. Do they deserve it? Most of the time. I spent years waiting tables and tending bar, but to even think that I am entitled to your money is outrageous. If I give you good service and get stiffed, I would be upset, but if I give terrible service

This is a great idea, provided people actually read your emails. I find myself constantly frustrated that all of my work contacts seem to be limited to reading only the first sentence of an email. If I type up a paragraph, the response is usually a question asking for the exact information I have presented in sentence

I think the newer versions switched to an analog thumbstick that may be better - I haven't tried them. I would expect my complaints about the layout don't apply to everyone, can probably get a feel for that in store. Mine was an impulse buy as I happened to have a Best Buy gift card burning a hole in my pocket.

My issues with it are that the thumstick/d-pad is unresponsive (digital and finicky, doesn't move well), and the layout makes the bottom row of buttons uncomfortable for me to use, so I'm just as well off using the macro keys I already have on my keyboard.

Was tempted for the very same reason. Actually broke out the Nostromo I never use specifically for that purpose. Then I remembered why I never use the Nostromo....

The source article looks to be more "use an entire set evenly to keep it in uniform condition" while this leans more towards giving a "buy multiple sets to prevent buying multiple sets later" message. Nothing wrong with rotating to keep a fresh look, but it is a difference between a financial move and a decorative one.

I had assumed that this was a common sense thing. I was clearly mistaken. Just moved my girlfriend over the weekend and apparently for many people, being prepared to move means "a quarter of my stuff is in boxes and the rest is strewn about"

the system is down

Yep. That's the real reason (not that I would have ever resorted to that, clearly). I have never worked anywhere that they take a cut for the credit card fees. That shouldn't be any more legal than demanding the server pay the entire credit card transaction fee.

Was going to comment that it seems to be the type of game tailor made for the Wii U. So of course, it won't come out for it.

That works, and is certainly something I should do as a host. But as human, I am fallible and may forget. You certainly won't forget that you are a vegetarian, but I may forget to ask whether someone's new significant other has any restrictions.

I have to question the logic of not bringing up your vegetarianism when going to dinner at someone's home. If you offer to bring something without any reason, a good host will more than likely have things planned out and tell you that you do not need to bring anything. Whereas if you make your dietary preferences

After the first flash, I assumed he was making a point about microsleeps, and since the flashing irritated me, I stopped actually watching until he started questioning whether I had noticed changed. But you may be right, maybe that was the point.

I have a Basis band and it is pretty awesome. I have used a few different trackers, and the Basis isn't the best at any individual thing as far as I can tell, but the sheer volume of data it gives you is amazing, if that's your thing.

I have a 3 story townhouse I don't feel like gutting to wire, so my setup is probably a bit odd. I have two main equipment locations - my living room downstairs (htpc, NAS, consoles, tv) and my home office upstairs (couple computers, printer). I have 2 wireless ac routers bridged, one in each room. Everything in the
