Because to some merely having a LHD car highlights it’s a prestige import.

If he had a beige Toyota 1998 Camry, it would outlive him (and maybe if he has kids, the Toyota would outlive them, too).

Just like if it was a Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, etc... it would of been designed as a RHD first, LHD coming later.

Ugh. As an American who lived and drove in Japan, LHD on anything larger than a GTI sounds miserable. RHD makes a huge difference on tight city streets.

The prestige comes in the form that companies such as BMW are German, Germany is LHD so any car they designed from the ground up would of been designed from the start to be LHD and RHD came later so BMW could sell their vehicle in RHD markets.
