That’s 15 minutes of drawing? Can I be your apprentice?

I could see GM doing this, pulling a Ford GT, even though we’ve all suspected a mid-engine Cadillac has been in the works along with the Vette.
I took 15 minutes and did a quick sketch of what this vehicle might look like. Maybe if I get some extra time I’ll repost a better one. I took styling cues from the Escala…
The older I get, the more sidewall I want.
No change over 22 years. First car was a station wagon, current car is a station wagon. Several wagons in between.
I still maintain that the 458 is the best looking Ferrari ever made. I felt like the 488 was kind of a slight step back.
The problem with the inside of Cadillacs is that they look great in the photos, and then you sit in one. I really want to like the Cadillac line-up. I think their exterior design is striking. But every time I sit in one, all I can think is that I really want out of there... Like, quickly! Upon close inspection,…
I would love to own a Donk. I fear that a pasty white dude such as myself would be mocked mercilessly.
Right, because a ZL1 1LE is faster around Nurburgring than the GT350R. An SS is not. The comment I was responding to said a “midrange Camaro is faster than a GT350R” which is patently false. A modified SS, maybe, but it would take a lot of modification, and would probably make it cost every bit as much as the GT350R.…
They may not lie, but they don’t tell the whole truth.
110lbs (Assuming the GT350 doesn’t take the reduction package), and yes, modify the Camaro and I’m sure it’ll be competitive (Though I doubt it’ll be faster, the Camaros tend to wallow compared to the Shelby).
The rest of the replies pretty well summed things up but from a technology standpoint I think the only part of the current Camaro that is really a gen ahead is the e-diff since the Mustang still uses a Torsen to provide differential bias in the GT350 and GT PP cars and probably some of the materials used in the…
Wow, compelling argument.
The camaro could arguably only be truly “ahead” when you can easily see out of one, especially with a helmet on.
After a certain point it’s really hard to utilize the extra power around a track like that. Frankly the only place where I think you’d actually be able to utilize the extra power over a GT350 is at the drag strip anyways, or for spinning more wildly out of control after a cars and coffee event.
If I recall correctly, that wasn’t a 1LE ZL1...
what do you mean elaborate? The camaro has been a gen ahead for a while now, hell mid-spec’d camaros became faster than the top spec’d GT350, etc.
and yet it’ll still be a generation behind the Camaro
The middle one is actually an orange juicer.
$50k, 4 doors, and eight cylinders? I think the answer is 2 Miatas.
