At this point, Coupe is a subjective term. I don’t disagree with you with the meaning/history of the term. From the automakers point of view, their definition of coupe just means pillar less doors and/or shorter height. I just don’t think the designers of today go far enough with their “four dour coupe” designs to

Honestly the back view of the 918 with the wing down is better looking than the holy trinity all together. I’ll admit it’s not as pretty from the front though.

Because there is a b-pillar between the front and rear doors. So technically it’s not a coupe even though its shorter in height than it’s sedan counter part.

I honestly agree you that the P1 is ugly. It was 100% designed by the engineers and there was no artist in sight. It doesn’t even have a rear end and it has this suctioned saran wrap designed to it. I’m sad that there are people who think this is a prettier car than the LaFerrari and 918. SMH

100,000 % agree. I’m so sad the C8 never took off to be in the same conversation with the Gallardo/F430. They should have over compensated with the performance like McLaren did.

I will always be upset this car never took off. It’s my second favorite.

IMO a STOCK 458 Italia is the prettiest modern car. The Speciale........ I’m at a lost for words at how molested it looks. I couldn’t believe it’s the same car almost. I’ll admit it looks slightly better with out the decals but still.

I always loved that quirky feature on the early 12c. Sad they had to dumb it down for the customers.

This is irrelevant but if there is one car in production right now that I wished had handle-less door handles it is by far the Boxster/Cayman. It’s literally begging for it! The door handle completely ruins the almost flawless profile of the car. If I were to buy one right now I would definitely have them shaved.

Hmm I’m agreeing with you. I just wish the b and c pillars were glossy (glass looking) and not that cheap looking matte black finish. Nothing sexier than sleek, seamless looking green house.
