I think it’s really nifty how almost every entry shows us a different side of the Ghost in the Shell universe.

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence is worthwhile as well, even though it’s not as good as the first film.

Yeah, I’d say S3 of Twin Peaks is probably one of the peaks of the television medium as a whole. But this year seems to be shaping up pretty well, if not at that 2010-15 level.

Yeah, the Mike stuff just doesn’t do it for me, and I always forget about whatever happened with him in the previous season.

The 2009 specials would’ve worked much better as a full season. But they were designed to give the new production team some breathing room, so unfortunately that wasn’t on the table.

It would be a fitting follow up to The Day of the Doctor.

Press Gang is pretty brilliant.

Jekyll’s worth watching at least once. It’s a mess...but a fascinating mess.

“I don’t think it’s a coincidence at all that when people talk about the best stories that Moffat wrote during his own tenure as showrunner, the list is inevitably The Eleventh Hour (which he had literally a year to write) followed by a grab-bag of episodes from the Capaldi era, during which critically he was not

Agreed, for the most part.

It was a lot like Jekyll, in that way. Interesting, but extremely frustrating at the same time.

RTD didn’t edit word of his scripts. And he wrote plenty of outstanding scripts from 2010 onwards.

Disappointing but not entirely surprising. In general, Moffat hasn’t had a great run post-2015. Doctor Who S10 was quite good, but Dracula and Sherlock S4 were fairly dreadful. And the book seems like a hard thing to adapt in the first place.

I think Season 26 of the classic show is the only one that really comes close to S8 and 9 for me.

And The Return of Doctor Mysterio has that bit where the Doctor eats sushi on a heist and his “everything begins again” speech.

Yes, that’s why I didn’t mention it. By the time Firewall rolls around, everything is pretty much in place. But I did think about it considering how panned it was on this site and elsewhere.

A truly wonderful story. Still in my top 10 probably.

Yes. Although it’s not that much of a hot take, I certainly agree with it. Saying Listen is better than Blink is though, and I’ll gladly take the heat for that one!

I also think The Crimson Horror is the best Gatiss script (though I think his S8 and 10 episodes are both really good). And I adore The Rings of Akhaten and Hide, and find a lot to like about A Town Called Mercy, The Angels Take Manhattan, The Snowmen, and The Name of the Doctor.

I love The Doctor’s Wife! And while it’s not a Moffat solo script, he did have a massive hand in it.
