Not that far. Not that far.

It’s sad that it’s going to be without you, though :(.

It was better than the first season of Clone Wars.

Well, it actually knows how to tell stories with a beginning, middle, and end. And it’s actually funny. That’s enough for me.

Yeah you’re not wrong about that. I often don’t give Superman: The Animated Series the credit it deserves, but it’s consistently very good.

Toby Whithouse brought his A game precisely once, in The God Complex. I’m quite fond of A Town Called Mercy as well, despite the Susan joke. But usually his episodes are enjoyable B-tier adventures with nothing too execrable in them. Until The Lie of the Land.

Yeah, they’re kid’s shows and not every episode can be intense, I get that. I just wish they’d figure out how to spin their wheels in a more fun and creative way. It can be done. See: Gravity Falls, Avatar: The Last Airbender, etc.

I like how S10 turned out, by the way. It’s a very good season of Doctor Who, Moffat’s scripts (and Jamie Mathieson’s) in particular are the standouts.

It’s been...ok. It has the Filoni era problems: some of it is good, lots of it is painfully slapdash and mediocre. This was absolutely one of the best ones so far.

Yeah, S7 feels like it’s about to fly off the rails at any moment.

I did exclude Twice Upon a Time for a reason.

Praise be that Chibnall’s leaving, at least.

I guess Chibnall did have a 5 year plan....made up of three seasons, lol.

It’s fine, but it’s the kind of episode that makes me think Whithouse would’ve been a horrible showrunner. He really doesn’t have many interesting ideas.

I don’t see why it has to take a 10 year break. There are plenty of writers who have fresh ideas for Doctor Who right now, and there always will be—the sky is the limit when it comes to Doctor Who.

I like this theory. For me, his scripts from Let’s Kill Hitler to The Name of the Doctor generally show his misery bleeding onto the screen. I feel his second (and even greater than his original run) renaissance was from The Day of the Doctor to The Doctor Falls.

I’d say there are like 3 S11 stories that would make my bottom 10 of all time, lol.

It’s Whithouse doing a Moffat impression with no real reason or purpose other than ‘he can’. I find it quite entertaining but it’s certainly not a highlight of S9.

She’s talented, but that doesn’t mean she was right for the part. It’s impossible to know, really; she was given nothing on the page.

It’s not going to happen. The previous two showrunners were actually good, despite the onslaught of hatred they received from online fans.
