They were the core of the series. Even though John had fallen by the wayside, the finale still remembered that.

Steins;gate is my favorite anime-I consider it a basically flawless work of sci-fi. Ill have to check out Monster sometime.

Fringe hangs together plot-wise much better than other shows of its type, specifically, The X-Files. I personally don’t really have a preference for character or plot-I’d really prefer both.

“Sometimes, one life, if it’s the right life, is enough.” So good. And the “Hurt” scene is one of the best uses of music in any show or film.

Considering what happened to Angel’s fourth season when Charisma Carpenter got pregnant.....POI Season 4 did magnificently-they pulled out of the tailspin in the last 4 episodes of the season. Despite fate and CBS’s best attempt to tank it, they ended the show amazingly well with Season 5, with one of the best finales

The Simpsons and Seinfeld are my two favorite comedies. Your other choices are great as well.

Yeah Im ok with Paige Turco leaving the show-its been a waste of her talent, and the shows cast is too bloated.

I only just caught up on this episode now. But I have to say, it was excellent-this is an awesome season. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time-and wow, Eliza Taylor is killing it.

Some people had complaints with POI-I didn’t. It tapped into everything I love about fiction, and is one of my all time favorite stories in any medium, and easily my favorite television show. And yeah, nothing will really top it for me I dont think.-it had action. humor suspense, great acting, big ideas, plot twists,

Glad to hear it! Im looking forward to watching it.

Also, what are everyone else’s favorite shows of all time and why (Sorry for intruding into this comment section for the last episode-last one)? Mine is Person of Interest-just ticked all the right boxes in my sci-fi thriller loving mind. I also love Justified-great plotting, great pacing, great atmosphere, superb

A massive thank you to everyone who followed these recaps over the past five years. Jane The Virgin is my favorite show of all time and writing about it has been one of the great pleasures of my career. And thanks to future readers, because this show is going to gain so many new fans once its all available to stream

It requires a high level of social cohesion and trust in the government that we just don’t have in the states-also a willingness to compromise. One of the most interesting examples of the latter is Finland (not technically Scandinavia, but it’s lumped in with them often). After the Finnish Civil War, in order to

Scandinavia has high taxes for individuals, but extremely low corporate taxes. They have incredibly strong unions but very few regulations on business. Quite an interesting place. I’d classify them as social democratic-the means of production are not socially owned.

Its a bit harsh to compare DS9 to Family Guy. Other than that, your point makes sense. Id still take DS9 over B5 though. The acting and directing was pretty stellar for a 90s Trek show.

Even those moments are really fleeting, before they go back to being their normal selves. Truly an awful group.

I’ve been there. It can be frustrating-especially without the community grade feature that really should return-but ah well.

Still haven’t caught up on this show, but sometimes you just have to take a reviewer’s grades with a grain of salt-I’ve disagreed with many AV Club grades for shows I watch (Person of Interest was harshly graded for example, while I thought Arrow’s were far too generous for Seasons 1-5). Ultimately, it doesn’t really

Damn. That sounds like my experience with The Sopranos. I found it dry as a bone.

In all seriousness, I think we should wait until the finale to judge how this storyline plays out. Maybe they will try to make us feel sympathetic towards the Primes, and if they do that, I will certainly agree with you. Perhaps they’ll take a different route.
