One of the biggest flaws with these shows was the pacing of a 13-episode season. They should have watched Justified (a show that was masterfully plotted aside from Season 5) on repeat.

Yeah. The costume department have clearly never missed an episode.

Occasional? This show is insane (and I love it).

Yup. The Primes can now proudly stand with the worst of them on this show.

-MONTY’S back! And he got to use his technical skills once more! It’s all I ever wanted.

Thanks for covering a lot of these Marvel-Netflix shows. Your reviews have been consistently great, even as the shows have not. I’m not really going to miss them-I view them largely as a failed experiment with a couple high points. Still, kudos to you for sticking through them.

Are there any Marvel-Netflix seasons that are *well* plotted? Really struggling here. I liked Daredevil Season 3 and thought it was well paced, but the AV Club sure didn’t.

It’s a good criticism. The episode could definitely have gone deeper into *why* Bellamy made the choice to forgo revenge. On the upside, next week’s episode looks like it’s going to dive into Clarke’s character. Maybe it’ll clear some things up with her-her motivations haven’t made sense to me from Season 5 onwards.

No one really has (or should claim) the moral high ground on this show. Ever (except for before Season 1 episode 4).

Madi: “Where are the other commanders?”

One of them (Wick I believe his name was) randomly disappeared in between Seasons 2 and 3. Shaw and Raven had no chemistry. Shaw’s character in general was very bland and forgettable. Finn and Raven didn’t have much either.

Apparently, no one really knows how long they’ve been together. If it’s been for a few years it would make sense that Bellamy and Clarke’s scenes were romantically tinged. I am still in agreement with you though, and I think the writers are as well. Bellarke is probably never happening.

Congratulations to Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley, who just got married. Unfortunately, this will probably throw more fuel on the Bellarke fire, but whatever.

Im glad. I thought the third season was much weaker than the first two. It seemed very tired. Hopefully the writers can send this great show out with the ending it deserves.

Gina’s return might be the worst episode of Brooklyn 99 ever.

Season 1-weak start but got really good really quickly.

Its amazing. One of the best shows ever made for sure, and also one of my personal favorites. The richness you mentioned is definitely a factor, not to mention the dialogue (which is part of it I think).

Certainly. But Season 5 was also a bit of a mess.

Yeah it seems a bit odd to call the plot predictable when we haven’t seen it fully unfold.

Another rock-solid outing. I keep repeating myself, but it really feels like the writers know how much of a mess Season 5 was, and are really trying to make this their second chance. Eliza Taylor knocked it out of the park this week as well.
