I have no idea why the hell the writers did this with Caitlin. They have consistently failed her.

They dropped some episodes from last season and slipped them into this one. The actress who plays Maze had maternity leave for Season 3 filming so hasn’t been in these first couple of episodes, but will be in the ex-Season 2 episodes.

They’ve removed the “TV Reviews” link off the front page for some reason, probably because with it the site was almost navigable.

You know why there’s no comments here? It’s because this review is very close to impossible to find. I had to Google “Lucifer review AV Club” with a past 24 hours option to get here. Is there even a point to write these reviews if they can’t be read?

Honestly I still am in a state of shock how much this show improved.

Did anyone else think they’ve dialled Ella’s goofiness up a few notches? Not that I’m complaining! This and THE GOOD PLACE are the only shows on telly right now that routinely and unequivocally make me do one of them real-life LOLs. More than one, in fact!

🔥🗡️🍩👨‍🚀⏰💃🏻🔦👍

Please don’t mention spoilers in the previews! Some of us deliberately skip those and you just told me something I didn’t want to know yet. Agreed about the need to resolve Chloe’s disbelief soon, although I can forgive them for this one fake out because it was well done and not too drawn out. I don’t want the reveal

How could that ever be wrong, Miss Eli?

Lucifer has been a recurring character on Supernatural for years. They even made a crack about him solving crimes in LA, once.

I can’t believe Superboy from that Smallville show now looks old enough to be my dad. What happened there? He’s trying to shed that boy image with some fake grey hair. I hope he turns out to be a good addition to the show, not just there to be jerky all the time. It was funny when he kept referring to Espinoza as

Is “large bit of roadkill” code for “I ran someone over” ?

Season 1 wasn’t bad, DIMENSIONAL BLEEDTHROUGH - it was a bit more on the Castle side of things, admittedly, but it still had the enjoyably batshit air of “This is The Literal Devil, solving crimes with a hot but troubled woman police detective while trying to seduce her.” And Trixie, and her interactions with Lucifer,

Oh how I missed this show, and your reviews lafergs! So are they setting Ella and Amenadial up? Because that would be flipping adorable, and hilarious.

Is it wrong that I want Ella to climb Amenadiel like Mt. Everest? Then I don’t wanna be right.

I too missed Lucifer! I’ve been sucked into the Lucifer+Chloe will-they/won’t-they drama. I really enjoyed the anti-climactic “do you have gas” bit. Glad the show doesn’t take itself too seriously.

I enjoyed season one. Don’t believe the critics when they say it wasn’t good.

“It’s... DEVILISHLY entertaining!”

Do they handle Derry well? While Pennywise and It were scary what always freaked me out the most was Derry itself. The idea of an entire town being evil cuts deeply. The scene from the books which has always stuck with me the most was when Beverly is chased by her father and beaten in the street and everyone just
