Everything about this show looks pretty prescient now.

Now that Montez is sworn in it follows the normal lines of succession: her successor would be her VP, followed by the Speaker of the House.

Someone pointed out in the comments above that, with the time jump, now could be the time for the Russians to get a message through to Martha's parents. Glad would be ideally placed for that; travelling abroad, not being an active government officer but having contact with her folks.

That's a good point. But once I starting thinking of all the divergent realities and possibilities, it's just turtles all the way down.

I missed it on my first watch, but I think Hitler's first three lines of dialogue when Wegener confronts him confirm that he is the titular man in the high castle, and that he's the one collecting the films.

It's too bad they did the Smaug interview last night; ending the show due to Stephen having been eaten by a dragon from Middle Earth would have been perfect.

Quinn and the drone pilot couldn't take the shot. Even by the (far too) loose laws of drone warfare, the CIA killing an American citizen would legally be murder. While they could conceivably cover it up if it was a random person, that wasn't going to happen with the ex-director of the CIA.

I would have gone with "Jaw & Order", but maybe that's just me.

Ha, I had the exact same reaction! Oh, train nerdiness….

I believe Tysha was mentioned way back, but since Shae has become a much bigger character on the screen than on page I think you're right that she's who Tyrion will be chasing after.

Ahh, I'd completely forgotten he'd been introduced. Well there goes that theory!

I think this may be the show setting up for an even bigger departure from the books - Cersei becoming Hand of the King after Tywin's death. They haven't introduced Kevan Lannister yet and at this point his appearance so close to Tywin being killed would feel a little too soap opera "long lost brother" for this show.…

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsuit?

I was about to attempt a rousing defense of all political "Independents", but then I realized you're mostly right, but with a big HOWEVER.

Nina is Putin, I'm calling it now.

Asked a friend who works for Syfy, Haven has not been cancelled.
