Color me intrigued - especially with a fun set of color options.

Or the fact that all those guys who want one, have one.

When I was in college and these came out I wanted one SO badly.  Ended up with an SVT Focus instead, which is a longer story (and a great, if underpowered car).  Still want one today.  Dammit.

My N63TU has been almost perfect (HPFP covered under BMW’s automatic extended warranty on the part). They tend to be good to about 110-130k before things start to get twitchy. Oddly enough my folks have that 2011 with the N52 - it’s been perfect for them, although (like you said) slow. Agreed though - if you want to

As long as you get the F10 with the I6 or 2014+ - the V8 in the 2011-2013 was a disaster.

There are good auto climate control, and BAD auto climate control - if it’s bad, it’s REALLY bad too.

If you can find the damned things.  Last time I went looking there was one non-chain shop in town that carried them, and none of the chains did in my supported size.

That’s taking the comparison to an extreme; might as well compare to a paraglider then, since both will come into the same ballpark.

Wait, the lights are touch controls too?!?

Tiny bed and HUGE - they’re massive.  Too big for a midsize - they’re longer than a base F150!  I’d love one - in 2 door with that size bed.  It’d do me fine.  But I can’t put something that big in the garage, and I drive into downtown enough parking a full size truck SUCKS.

Too big.  I wanted one, especially when they were showing off the 2 door concepts - I don’t need 4 doors, and I don’t need the bed that long.  The thing is 218" long - that’s longer than the F150 at base size.  It literally won’t fit into my garage, because they attached the 5' bed to the back of a full-sized Wrangler

Stockholm syndrome is a hell of a thing.

Childhood friend’s sister - she was 16, we were... 14? She drove us to Downtown (10 miles) the first time I drove with her.

Ah. You’re assuming it’ll have the same lower price that it did historically - which will be interesting to see. I won’t argue that a discount on it over the competition isn’t potentially worth it - that’s what justified the previous generation for the last 10 years after all - but we don’t know what those really look

From the sounds of it, it JUST got AA - which is fine, but why get this over anything else? You can get more for the same $$ buying the other brands, or if you want to go cheaper, you can get a similarly equipped (with manual option) used Frontier from the prior generation - or any of the competitors too.

They needed to be thinking ahead, yes. Especially since it took that long.  Don’t release competition for what’s out today - release it to compete against what’s coming next.

I have a Euro luxury car now.  I wouldn’t mind a truck - but I want it to be at least somewhat up to date.  I’d take the new Taco over this.  Or if I was going back in time, I’d go for a current gen (before refresh) taco, or jump to an older frontier and save a pile of cash.

In that case I’d buy a pre-update Taco - tons of configuration options, millions of them out there, etc.

V6 3.8L 240HP where I live.  I’d take any of the others over it because of that.  Density altitude sucks.

Yup.  When you take this long to roll out an update, you have to be forward looking - not copying the current models that are due to be replaced the following year or two.
