Some of us do; we’re outliers, but we do. Before Covid, I had a 380 mile loop I had to do 3 times a month (sometimes 4). The guy with a similar route to mine with a Model 3 had to add an hour of driving/charging to it (100% high-speed highway), or took his Tacoma. It’s pretty regular for me to have 200 miles in a day.

Buy a lightly used Impala - LTZ or so.

Depends on the options, but I agree - which is why I pointed out that it’s “close” but not the same :)  It’s up to you if that’s worth it (dealer experience being a bit part of that) - for me, that extra (and the extra quality) is probably worth it.  YMMV, of course.

Nope.  Which positions it directly against the germans and cadillac; and optioned the way I wanted it, I’d have gone with the Germans for slightly more.  :(  Good car, but I’m a sucker for all the tick boxes, and at that price point it hurts a bit more (>50k).
