Which is currently a small market, and they only sell luxe-versions of those EVs.  That’s a HARD market to make a real profit in unless you’re Tesla right now, and especially in a recession.

Today we learned that marketing people are generally idiots. In further news, the sky is blue, the moon is not made of green cheese, and we’re all going to die because those same idiots probably aren’t staying home.

And then we what, ban 1/2 to 2/3 the worlds population from living?  We’re not yet to a post-scarcity society.

We have yet to see how well those work-from-home jobs do as WFH though; lots of folks don’t handle that well, and lots of managers don’t either. Plenty of us that slowly go insane doing it that way too, even if we’re effective at it. There’s value in face-to-face interactions you lose purely WFH; how do we find the

So you don’t have an answer and are just trying to play internet tough guy.  Got it.  Yet another troll.

So for the next 6 months if your car dies you’re what, supposed to order delivery? Take-out? Just hole up and die?  That’s not sane, bub.

So you’re a doctor, your car dies (or is hit by a semi with a half-asleep driver) - gotta have one to get to work and save people, after all - you’re just going to buy one without driving it?

Dealerships (as repair shops) are generally listed as essential; gotta be able to fix the few cars that are keeping everything running, after all. And if you’re one of those people, then your car has to run too, and you may need a new one, depending on how long this goes. We can’t just shut down the entire economy -

You’re not going to get a mid-engine sports car for 30k. There’s no justification in investing the capital to build it and develop it any more - the market just isn’t there (especially from people that buy new). I agree with all your points, I’m just saying that the market has moved on from it - if you want a mid/rear

Buy a Toyobaru, Camaro, or Mustang then?

This.  Still too much gravel out, cold temps early on for sport tires, and idiot drivers.  The last is what got me to give it up finally (too many friends) but dammit I miss it.

X3, M550, NB Miata, ZL1.  Fast and sporty, Slow and sporty, Practical and fun, Practical.

Some people drive big trucks.  Others drive Corvettes.  Some wear really high-end clothing - our identity is a very complex construct that defines how we believe the world sees and perceives us, and things that threaten that are about as fundamental as breathing.  I can understand and empathize with it, even if I

They fear (only partially irrationally) that they’ll be forced to drive a prius/tesla/etc and not their desired vehicle in the future. While this is generally irrational, see also all the Tesla bros that rip on people for buying anything BUT a tesla, so the group of people that would actually desire to force them to

Because people buy looks.

This isn’t for that; this is the Renegade competitor.  You want a crawler, get the full Bronco.

Not at all - I think it looks fine, although I see a bit of family resemblance to other trucks.  Like the blue too.  Lots were just scratching their heads for a bit given the other leaks, until Sport != Bronco realization hit.

II.5

Thank you!  I was trying to figure out why my mind kept saying “that’s a different truck...”

Everyone I know who has an X5-M or M50 also has other fun cars - they just need something with some practicality and potentially ground clearance too.  Just because it doesn’t fit your lifestyle doesn’t mean it won’t fit someone elses.  Not saying anything on the rich wanker part, mind you, but the last one I knew
