Now wait a moment, I used to work in that office building... or the one right across from it. I KNOW that fake scum-filled lake...

Ya’ll realize it’s a blizzard here, right? You get the 4WD working on that? probably positive traction day today.
Not at all saying you would. But here, they’d smile, nod, and then TAKE YOUR CAR for trying that if it snowed badly. Because while you might be smart enough for that, there are far too many idiots that didn’t, and they’re tired of pushing them off the side of the mountain and closing the roads. So now, it’s AWD,…
Yep :( I have snows on the ‘vette, but it still doesn’t come out if there’s a chance of flakes. Just don’t want to deal with it.
Sounds like Colorado, which comes with the caveat of “they may decide not to like the snow tires on your car and demand chains anyway, just because too many idiots.” :(
And yet almost no one actually buys winter tires, even a lot of the enthusiasts that say they “will” once winter hits. Hence why things like positive traction laws get passed, making it miserable to even think about driving RWD in the snow (unless you carry chains).
I’ve been number 1 bitching about that since the beginning. For the normal ATS, this year, they added a few touches that actually make it WAY better... but forgot them on the V. WTF.
Most of the AMG in that range tend to be the sedans, not the sports cars (the GT, for instance). The sedans do at least see a more normal life, since they’re less of a toy and more of “the fanciest version of X” one can buy, but I do see your point.
And it’s somehow more expensive too!
Yep. They’re NOT as good as BMW/etc. they handle great, but corners were cut and they’re not cheaper either; in fact, they’re often more expensive!!!
Subaru, Volvo, Chevrolet (impala and trucks based on trim, maybe the Cruze), ford (trim again especially on the trucks), dodge, Toyota (some cars), Lexus, few more I’m sure.
Seriously may be my next car. Love what they’re doing these days.
Ever driven a true performance auto? Even the best computers can’t see ahead of you to know what’s next; only you can do that and downshift before getting to something.
Must have been the base 4cyl. The mid-range one is much better, and the turbo is a hoot (had one once).
I hated the xB. Then I drove one. That car has NO right to be that giggle-inducing.
I know! I’ve gotten them several times since - only once had a truly base-model one that was yawn inducing, but National/Hertz seem to keep the mid-tier ones instead and they’re great for a rental. Carplay/Android Auto works perfect too.
Kia Soul. Was expecting the usual bland econo-rental on business travel, which was sad since I was driving around the San Diego hills off rush hour. It was surprisingly fun, tossable, decent power and responsive transmission, and it wasn’t a torture-mobile like I expected. Made that trip far more pleasant.
Yes, they do - other than the official ones on the other side of the country of course. Never seem to have time to get out to those :)
I know good beer places ;) Let me know if you’re ever in town!
Rally I’ll grant, but DTM are no more 4 door cars than NASCAR uses Camrys. And the RX doesn’t have real 4 doors- it’s really a 2 door sports car with easy access :p.
