The one exception was the Neon, which was ok looking in its last generation, and had the SRT-4. That was it. Really. Ugh. And then Chrysler replaced it with the Caliber.

Comprehensive insurance doesn’t generally result in a rate increase; it’s insurance for things totally outside of your control. Your rates went up from the Jetta due to it using collision insurance, which is based on how safe YOU are.
Insurance. Comprehensive.
ME2 I think.
340xi. Have a nice day.
Colorado does the same thing.
Yep. Fly someone to the others’ location. Made good friends out of “enemies” a couple of times that way.
Picked the wrong guy to rant at. :p. My three favorite cars ever are the stock 94+ NA Miata I had for a week, the 350z roadster I owned, and my stock C5. I’m all about balance of power and handling, and firmly believe that there is such a thing as “too much power”. :). Almost bought an S2000 as well, but couldn’t…
That’s just it; I think this is going to be more like the GT than the current corvette. Not quite as limited but pretty low numbers.
Indeed indeed... I’m not sure if it’s the car culture changing, the death of the aftermarket, emissions rules... cost of living... who knows. But that world is dying.
Like you say: champions of screwing things up. With the rumors of no 7th gen Camaro, I could see them moving out of the pony car market entirely, and then quietly leaving the sports car market too. How are C7 sales really doing?
I spend a lot of time in CA, and live in CO - Denver it’s 1976 or newer, sniffer every 2 years. CO as a whole is 25 years old or newer for most of it, sniffer every 2. Parts are emissions free, but only in rural counties. CA... well, we all know how CA is.
It does if you have to pass a sniffer every year or two like most major cities. Gonna pull that off and keep putting it back on?
I really HOPE the FR Vette isn’t dead. I love the thing, and you’re absolutely right - the Camaro (in any form it’s lived so far) is not a valid replacement. I even own both - a ZL1 and a C5, and I love both of them for different reasons, and they’re not even remotely the same car despite what some may say.
Eh. No, it’s not out of reach, but it’s also a point at which the pricing structure changes. For some reason, the Navi/Escalade/luxury SUV market still acts like a normal car when it comes to things. They’re the “biggest and the best”, but they actually get used and live a normal life. $150k sports cars... don’t. They…
Just get new heads. That being said, given what this thing is going to cost (I’m betting $140k in N/A form, $180k in TT), we’re not going to see much of a normal aftermarket for it. If you can afford it AND have the desire to modify it, then there’ll be folks to do that for you, much like the Lambo/Ferrari/etc…
I’ll bet money that any mid-engine Corvette starts at $140k. There may still be a FR design around, but a true mid-engine is going to be up there.
Emissions. And lots of issues with just SCing everything too.
That’s fair, and I definitely haven’t driven a MK VII (My V had the tune though, as did the Mk VI).
While I haven’t driven this one, the recent GTIs have all seemed... soulless? to me. They’re fun. They’re competent. They’re decently quick. But there’s just nothing... well, special, I guess. Very teutonic. I loved my MkV, but when I drove a Mk VI, it was just “good.”. But not special. Hoping this is better, but no…
