I just got goosebumps watching this trailer. I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch this show. JLP was the best written Captain with the best actor of the entire franchise, imo.  I’m going to stay away from the naysayers on this and enjoy the fact that I’m seeing JLP in action again.

Holy smokes!! This makes me so happy, and I had no idea a new series was being made. I’ve read all of the Barbary books multiple times and watched all of the PBS mini-series episodes.

I also read somewhere (on a legit site) that D & D were asked to do full seasons but declined due to GoT-fatigue. I think this is why there is so much hatred against them right now.

You are exactly correct. I’ve been studying cults for over 10 years and the destructive control mechanisms utilized are the same as the destructive control mechanisms in an abusive relationship.

I also had an ex-boyfriend that took pride that he was friends with all of his exes. That was until all the truth about him and all of his disgusting lies came out. The dude lied so much, even about things where he had nothing to hide. I caught him lying about what he had for lunch once.  His lying was pathological.

Of all series finales to come out of HBO, Veep was the greatest (and I have a feeling this will still be my sentiment after next Sunday’s GoT’s ending).
