It is as satisfying of an ending as both the movie and the comic.

Scott Pilgrim is essentially the comics version of 500 days of Summer. People like it and relate to it for the wrong reasons without understanding the core of the story is that Scott is shitty.

I watched the first episode and came to the ending and was pretty shocked, then checked out the synopsises of the rest of the episodes and realized just what a great twist it was. Because...yes, we’ve seen this story before — in fact, if you’ve read the comic and seen the movie, you’ve already got two versions, so why

Pennywise takes care of him early on in the film, so it’s okay to have forgotten.

Reading the rest of the article, one figures out Gracie is Julianne Moore. Georgie is a typo.
