Make it so.
Except the actor for Ward had no idea he was going to be a villain until he got the script for Turn, Turn, Turn. So this is all metatext. He FEELS like a better character when his narcissistic douchebag Bond archetype with no charisma that everyone wants to sleep with and who talks constant crap about everything is…
On the plus side, Cindy — you’re not Barsanti! :P But I posted this in the other thread in re: waiting 17 episodes for Agents of SHIELD to get where it wanted to go with the HYDRA twist (“Turn Turn Turn”) which was largely a failure of writing to keep it as engaging before the twist:
This smells like one of those “it happened to one lady in a random PA town so that local police department is warning everyone nationwide...” type of things, like the whole “gangs flash their brights at people and commit violence as part of gang initiation” thing that was going around the internet for a long time.
Some…
It was definitely one of if not the strongest episode of the season.
This was, IMO, the best episode of OMITB to date. Seeing Charles nail the Pitwick song was electric.
Yep, the last decade or so we’ve seen old men so disconnected from reality, who are also in major positions of power, say and do some incredibly baffling things. It’s never been 5d chess and it always explainable via Hanlons razor.
Nobody was confused and the “angst” was justified anger, you knobs.
Between these guys, WotC and all the things like car manufacturers’ trying to make formerly included amenities like seat warmers a subscription, the new “future” of bleeding us dry to feed shareholders and investors is here, or at least if we let it…
I could accept her return to her show if it was a contract matter, if she said that clearly and did a sub-standard show without writers, but if she has a contract with an NDA that prevents her from discussing its terms in that way she needs much better lawyers.
It’s not just the price increase, but the multiplication of services. Everything used to be under the Netflix banner, and then content providers started withdrawing their shows and starting their own streaming services.
It should be added that Unity gets to decide what is a charity, so even though the profits may be donated to a charity Unity can just decide that they don’t actually consider it a charity and so it wouldn’t fall under the exemption.
And yet no matter what walking back they do at this point, merely showing they are able and potentially willing to make a change like this should remain a massive red flag to any developer.
The irony of their communication coming out on X (formerly Twitter), a social medium that went from a digital town square to a digital bathroom stall in a matter of months.
Outside of stuff like Game Pass where you can ‘bank’ an extended period of time at a pretty steep discount if you keep an eye out, I’ve long since adopted the a la carte purchase model with subscriptions, which is to say I cancel them the instant I buy them.
Completely removes the burden of trying to keep track of…
For now Gamepass is still worth it even with the price hike. With that said, it is beyond inevitable that these services will get expensive as time goes on. It’s not just video games too. I have the AMC pass that lets me see 3 movies for free a week. At only 24$ a month, that’s a steal (and yes I am very much aware…
It’s still possible. The whole thing was so ham-handed it all smacks of someone behind the scenes forcing the situation.
Ha. That’s an interesting comparison. One random thing I liked about Dennis Miller was that he used esoteric political references that obviously were intended for the 2% of his audience that were insanely well-read.
This also puts a minor twist into the conversation of whether she has a contract (with an NDA) that she needed to honor or face consequences of not doing so.
A lot of people on social media have refused to accept this win and insist on continuing to attack her, and guys, really just stop. What incentive is anyone ever going to have to reverse course from a bad decision like this again if it doesn’t change anything about their reputation? Let’s just focus on how Bill Maher…
