They pass at first blush, definitely, but the closer you look, you see things like Cousin It off to the left of the image:

If you look at some of the faces of the photographers, they’re not properly shaped. It seems more likely to be AI than photoshop.

Couldn’t watch it this weekend but I booked tickets for Tuesday’s Date Movie Night. The wife loved The Lost City and was meh on Argylle (though she did enjoy the climactic set piece), this looks more like the former.

Granted at this point they’ve created instruments that’ll work for that version of Rock Band without issue, but they’re technically created for Fortnite because anyone that was working on Rock Band is now working on Fortnite.

The trailer song is exactly what I want a Lady Parts song to be.

*the beat drops* HITLER CAN GET FUCKED!

I think it comes down to “mid is the new worst.” If something’s entertainingly bad then it’s easier to focus on the “entertaining” part. If it’s serviceably bland, there’s very little to grab onto, positive or negative.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the Michelle Wolf show while it was running?

I get the L&T hate, I just don’t buy into it myself. It went out there much more than Dark World did, and it had some emotional beats land (not that DW didn’t; they got Frigga’s death and the fallout for that right even if the rest of the movie was mid). The gags were more out there and as such much more polarizing

So Amazon’s pissed off because they think he’s a delivery driver?

Coming from a guy who did watch all of TBBT and thought it improved significantly when the characters became more than caricatures, Young Sheldon is definitely the superior product. I don’t know if it’s because of the single-camera format removing the audience laugh track or something else but it has less of the

I also love Twitter’s ad algorithm:

I wasn’t expecting an anime movie review at The AV Club but I do appreciate it.

Just to say I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said so far; keeping the laughs rolling usually overrides the how of it all. We’ve even all used Fallon as a benchmark as to “too far,” even if we’re not necessarily united as to where “the line” is.

Absolutely nothing, which is why it’s the perfect place to put them. I’d rather they titled the sketch “AI Town Forum” and left out the fact that B&B are in there, because the gag is dependent on the idea of B&B’s presence there being completely out of left field.

Part of it is that as professional funny people, their job is to stay in character regardless of the absurdity of the situation. As the evolution of ZAZ movies shows, having characters react with the “SEE? THIS IS FUNNY!” faces (usually) detracts from it. Breaking usually needs to feel earned.

Added funny because Fred Schneider has been openly gay forever, to my understanding.

The most talented thing to ever come from Rob Schneider is Elle King. And while she’s not Taylor Swift, I have enjoyed the songs I’ve heard.

That explains why the YouTube clip didn’t have an audience track.

Nor do we live in a friendtopia, where all citizens must watch Hocus Pocus.
