As I understand it, “Angel and Julien” only had their dialogue tweaked in the localization, not the original JP version. I could be wrong about this, but I understand it to be a localizer’s choice rather than Atlus JP’s decision.

I’m pretty sure the other issue would be the whole NTSC/PAL thing, although maybe the Wii U uses HDMI which would probably be less of an issue? But then the US purchasers would also have to deal with buying imported games.

But it CAN be done “well.” Note the worldbuilding in AtLA/TLoK and how well it works. It DOES help that the nations have distinct analogues, but they still mix it up a lot and interject occasional other cultures into the mix.

I was really looking forward to seeing where it went from the finale.
