“media and elsewhere making uninformed, clickbait articles”
Right because doing things in a way that doesn’t completely screw your fanbase or essentially tells them “Fuck you, we don’t care what you think give us your money bitch. We expect you to because you are loyal”
The only thing worse than whiny entitled gamers, is whiny defensive nerds who cry about anyone voicing complaints or criticism with anything to do with their precious videogames.
Dude, i paid for this game something around 35€ in collector edition, then i bought a lot of DLC (mostly pointless, quite boring, just to support “great” developer) for another 35€ (before i had enough of that naver ending weapons bullshit), ITS NOT ENOUGH?! I have every right to be pissed off! Its EA bullshit level…
Not really. They lied to their customers. On another note. You can get skins from the safes for guns that have to be bought. That alone is fucking crazy. But them lying about this ever having a possibility of happening is just beyond stupid. And the fact that they even saying something like “We had no idea we’d get…
There are two camps of thought, as I see it:
Um, you haven’t seen the bucket of upset babies called gamergate have you?
Starbreeze’s press release for their earnings:
http://media.starbreeze.com/2015/08/2015-0…
Pulled from that entry:
“Starbreeze fourth quarter will be added to the successful history of the company with net sales reaching 72.0 MSEK, an increase by 41 per cent year on year. Total revenues reached its highest point since…
Stupid people like you makes this world shitty place to live.
No, as a developer and a gamer myself, they didn’t do this right. They screwed up.
There are plenty of legitimate reasons to be upset at their actions, from going back on their word, to poor communication, to general attitudes towards the players that have supported it the longest, to other ways they mismanaged the changes... all before even getting to the changes themselves.
You do know they have 24 non-soundtrack DLC’s on purchase for the game? Weapons, Levels, Mods ... many thing comes from there.
While I’m not complaining about the amount of DLC (or even the cost) there’s a good $150 worth of DLC so it’s not hard to see why some people are upset.
I think you’re part of the problem with the gaming industry. if a customer buys a product, it should remain that product. Period.
It’s not that it’s PVE that’s the problem, it’s that the items are added into the loot table. At the end of a heist, you get something. It could be a mask, which is nice, a weapon mod, which helps for progression, XP or in-game cash, or this giant metal safe which you can’t open without spending actual cash. Because…
People are surprised about this? This is the same company that heavily promoted the customize your safe house feature before release, going as far as plastering it all over their ads, but guess what, it was never released. All mentions of the feature were wiped from existence, and it was never mentioned again. When I…
If everyone thought the way you do, we’d still have to pay full price for an album when we only like one song.
Why wouldn’t they be getting paid? You’re paying for Netflix, and I can only hope you’re not arguing that Netflix is pirating the media they stream. Why wouldn’t some of that money go towards securing the content on the service?
The copyright holders. It’s their IP. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. But don’t give them a scapegoat to blame either by downloading it or using a VPN to get it where it isn’t licensed.
No, that’s pretty much it. Well, unless they say gays shouldn’t be married. I’m kind of a buzzkill about that too.
