I mean a tshirt isnt also legal precedent.  Just like memes arnt facts.

I get that package thieves are the lowest of the low on the shithead totem pole. However, I hope this fucking douchenozzle gets some serious jail time for essentially taking the law into his own hands, like a typical rich prick. Putting the lives of others in danger for a fucking package??

I had a bad experience renting a car on Turo and all I can say is DONT DO IT unless you seriously do not care about the car you’re renting out.

but now he can afford a $100,000 F450 with lift.

Watched the video, and the porch pirate looks like a young kid.

If Elon really wants a fleet of Cybercabs autonomously generating revenue for their owners, Tesla will need a widespread network of repair and maintenance shops, as well as a robust supply of spare parts. After all, every day a Cybercab is in the shop is a day its owner will not earn any revenue.

We are in fact NOT going to find out how good TUROs insurance is here, as they will likely deny and push the damages onto the customer.  Hope whatever the package was was worth it.

The damages to the truck  will be an order of magnitude more than the stolen packages, that’s for sure. And there is no way that the insurance would cover an intentional crash.

Dude who can’t afford the image he wants to project makes believe he’s batman.

It was not even his house.

The kind of person who would rent a Cybertruck is EXACTLY the kind of person who would destroy it living out some Fast and Furious fantasy because they can’t control their emotional impulses and want to see themselves as some kind of vigilante hero.

He’s likely hoping that, come January, Prince Elon will be able to arrange a pardon for him.

I hope the porch pirate and the truck owner’s insurance sues the fuck out of this guy. This dude caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage over a $20 package that Amazon would comp.

The renter did the CT’s owner a favor by destroying that hideous death trap.

Does this “campaign of thefts” extend across the entire country? Because porch pirates are not new, they’re not organized in one group, and it definitely should be minimized compared to causing tens of thousands of damage and assaulting someone with a vehicle.

He had the person’s face on his Ring camera. He had their liecense plate. Everything he needs to simply call police and get it taken care of. But instead he has ruined his life to live out a petty childish vigilante dream.

You’re speculating that the one person was responsible for all of the thefts. If there had been so much theft going on, the people need to wise up and have their packages delivered somewhere that they can pick them up or require signature for delivery. At least with UPS after the delivery process starts you can

Vigilante “justice” almost always makes things worse.

Heh. You read my mind.

Wonder who this guy is voting for.
