For the life of me, I cannot understand this story, or the reaction. This man was convicted, not once, but of 4 murders. He was charged with and convicted on engaging in activities that he knew would cause the death of others. This is not an accident. A jury determined that he drove his truck into those vehicles…

Usually truckers only do this when they’re mad that gas prices are high or that Trump lost.

what is the correct punishment for intentionally slaughtering 4 people?  Do you understand that is what he was convicted, intentional murder?

Nah.  States are allowed to set sentencing minimums.  Dude turned down the plea deal that was offered to him.  After his direct negligence caused this crazy amount of suffering and damage, he rolled the dice on the charges.  His fault, his gamble.

So. 4 people murdered. What is the normal sentence for that? 

If I owned a trucking company and my drivers pulled this shit, they would be looking for employent somewhere else.
