Based on the 1982 book “Mrs. Caliban” by Rachel Ingalls, right? This was selected as one of the 20 best American novel written since World War II, but for some reason it remains obscure. Also, why does it take so long for comments to get approved?

Is this an adaptation of Mrs. Caliban (1982 novel)? I loved that book, and this sounds VERY similar. Can’t imagine it’s not based on it. That book was about a bored housewife having an affair with the creature from the Black Lagoon (more or less) who had escaped from government custody.
