He obviously loved his mother’s family. One of the things I hated about the “Obama is half white” talk is that it ignored how his white grandmother died the day before the election and how he spoke of what she meant to him.

Also it always seemed clear that he appreciated the side that raised him. Those accusations sounded like projection.
