Yesterday was the first time I’d ridden in a modern Mustang since, well possibly ever. My dad had a ‘67 fastback when I was growing up, which he sold well before I was old enough to drive. Anyway, it was a Premium trim (rental so 4-Cyl I assume...didn’t look for a GT badge). But it was nice...not my cup of tea...but I

Dear God in heaven, I hope they go full N on the Sonata...use the upgraded Veloster N motor (boost to 300 HP + 300 lb-ft or torque) and manny from the Veloster N (DCT is probably more realistic and arguably a better choice). Also make the rumored AWD an option...throw in a few premium features (leather, sound, moonroof

This is what I thought I read...RWD version doesn’t hold the upshifts.

Well, not exactly...apparently the RWD version doesn’t hold the upshifts.

Not that I’d ever use it, but is the drift mode feature not available on the RWD where you already have 100% going to the back wheels?

I think it looks okay from the back and sides, but that 3.25 view of the front simply does not work for this vehicle.

Unfortunately, I don’t think Nissan is even concerned with making penalty boxes anymore. Right now they are all about power struggle. And when the dust settles, I think we’ll see them turning back to the JDM. If you hadn’t noticed, nationalism is hip again.

An electrified compact CUV would be the smart play.

Well, you at least made Norm T’s day...and you gave him a twofer with your secondary praise of the Traverse.

I get it.

Appreciate you sharing your experience. We haven’t driven it yet and only sat in a couple of examples at an auto show. The Adventure trim is certainly kitschy, but lower trims definitely felt bland and cheap.

Real-world gas mileage?

...good for up to 10 launches...

To be fair, 7k miles in a press car is probably like 49k on a non-press car.

Yep, I totally get it.

Fair point.

What? I can’t even text? What about SnapChat? Can I at least do that?

Of course, it’s meant to disincentive the sale of the cheaper model. It also justifies the continued existence of their stores because it turns out that you can move fast and break a lot of stuff in Silicon Valley...just not leases.
