Depend on what you need the truck for. If you’re hauling lumber, you need a long bed. This would be perfect for a lawn service. They generally haul their equipment in a trailer and only use the truck be for plants or an extra tool box here or there. They often don’t need a full bed.
I had a 2000 Frontier Crew Cab with the 55 inch bed. I had a rolling tonneau cover that took up 6 inches in the front of the bed. (The Santa Cruz has a rolling cover too which is why the upper dimension is smaller than the bottom of the bed)
It would do them well to develop accessories for situations like yours. If they have already-made solutions for hauling bikes, skis, kayaks, etc. I think it’ll go a long way toward selling these. I mean Jeep makes a killing on accessories, if they have hauling equipment ready to bolt on at the dealer they’ll move like…
