You are my new goddess. Linda's, here I come!

Historically, why is that? The "E" and "DD" being interchangeable terms? Were buyers embarrassed to buy an "E"?

You are a godsend.

Christ. Yes, women in the Arab world have it much, much worse. Consequently, we should never ever complain about anything in America. Because, logic, right?

"Do we really believe that there is going to be bombs at feminist lectures/rallies?"

Doesn't this fall into the category of "perfectly strategically placed on the model, but leaves a real person feeling super-exposed?" I've been there.

I don't think they're actually the same dress. (I spent a lot of time figuring it out, though - head at right angles, bird like, going HUH?)

Nope. When we get to the stage where we aren't on the receiving end of jokes like this every day, every hour from creeps who think our bodies are the most noteworthy thing about us, then we can say "it's not like he's in a position of power over her". Because actually, at the moment, this is our regular reminder that

"pew pew! ppppew pew! PEW PEW!"

How about the the DINKs? Double income, no kids... These marriages also do not "advance this interest because" these "unions do not result in pregnancy." And yet I don't see you demanding injunctions every time one of these couples wishes to get married in Texas.

All the men in my life have been emotionally complex, multi-layered souls who had extreme difficulty admitting to their feelings (and it is always an admission). Man after man for whom "I'm fine" means "I'm not fine". Either (a) my personal life is a statistical freak or (b) our shitty culture teaches our men, again

Come on, clues. We need to know.

Again, tell us about that call with the florist - inquiring minds need to know!

Right. Sorry to be Miss Prissy, but I've never been to a private party where "pushing" somebody felt like a possible response to an insult.

I really wish that "White House volunteer hires Columbian prostitute" wasn't the story. The story surely is: "donor's children get access to White House (sorry, 'volunteer') leading to full-time job at age 25". Instead, it's being reported in most other outlets as a normal background.

*salutes*

They say feminism has gone too far. Or that they're tired of us talking about it.

Or, we could just stop making assumptions about other people's marriages either way. Too much to hope for?

Don't worry, I'm entirely with you on this. The Scottish hypocrisy was where he lost me as a fan, for good.

Urgh. Me too, now. Who wants to bet, right now, on the approaches to character assassination of the dead woman that emerge if he ever does come to trial? minor criminal record/"She said yes til her boyfriend showed up"/"she was drunk"/"she looked like she might be a sex worker/had once been a sex worker/knew someone
