All the others I can hear, but "Mavis"? Is this really a popular white American name? It sounds so old-fashioned and unusual!
Dunno if you were asking in seriousness, but I would imagine the hiring processes for conservative media tends to allow women who fall into that traditionally conservative American view of attractive (svelte, blonde, white, ageless) to rise to the top more easily and put pressure on them to maintain a more glamorous…
Goddammit.
Oh… she's going to be another one of those villains who sits in one greenscreen room monologuing the whole time then, isn't she? Like whatshisface in Guardians of the Galaxy.
It's a good look for a FF sprite character, that's for sure.
Yeah it is.
Well it was a very video appropriate spelling error
Hollywood sign changed to read Hollyweed, Ariana Grande in her leather bunny costume is a character in the new Final Fantasy game, one less DC movie may be on the cards, Tom Hardy reads us all a children's book in a hat with his dog.
Guardians of the Galaxy and Fast and Furious got the whole 'team of criminals and miscreants turned heroes' thing down right. They also captured the whole vagabond family in a sincere way.
Suicide Squad achieved neither and it was so much cringe watching them desperately try to force it.
To be fair, superhero movies really were the lowest of the low back then. They've only gotten any real credibility since 2009, so I could see why the change of opinion.
There's a lot of incredibly talented actors throwing in with superhero stuff now big budget blockbusters are dominating the movie landscape so…

It seems like it's pretty impossible for directors to deliver any kind of unique vision under Marvel's 'Creative Team'.
If you're not enjoying a movie and you don't leave you've not only wasted your money, you're also continuing to waste your time. Which is also money, so.
It's not even so bad it's good in any kind of enjoyable way. It's just soooo boring!
I watched the new Assassin's Creed movie.
I'd heard that it was not good, but I enjoy the games, even with their convoluted 'plots' and I thought I'd at least get some enjoyment out of some of the parkour action, plus it's Fassbender and Cottilard, how unwatchable could it be? … Very. Very unwatchable is the answer to…
Ben Affleck is helped by WB, who will probably continue to do so for as long as he's shitting out Bat-dollars and helping so much with their terrible DC-verse. WB like to pretend they love film and love supporting up and coming talent and artisan directors, but mostly they just love the people that scratch their backs.
But Fanning was wonderful in that! It was not a great movie, but I though she was one of the most genuinely charming and effortlessly likable live action princesses I've ever seen.
