We had a reader point out that their kid will grow up always knowing that Pluto is the red dwarf planet, and what the surface of Charon looks like. I admit it: my eyes welled up. We do so much exploration of this solar system, and I’m consistently impressed by NASA, but Pluto was the low-res shiny ball of a 9th planet

I’ve been fascinated by astronomy since childhood, and I’m thankful that, at age 65, I have lived long enough to learn this.

I don't know how anyone could ever watch that and just not be completely on the edge of their seat and "FUCK YEAH!" when Galactica jumps into atmosphere. AHHH.. i'm just AGHHH after watching it.
