@F1Mørgan: You said in an earlier post that you were/are involved with F1 engineer. there is a video on youtube of a bench test of a F1 engine (I believe Mercedes) that is absolutely marvelous to listen too.

@F1Mørgan: First off, I am not a Corvette fanboy , but will contend that the ZR1 is about as good as it is going to get from GM (good balance of performance/economy/reliability, revised suspension, and scaled down size compared to the C5. Personally it is still too big and the interior is a disaster. It also loses…
All I can say after the previous versions of the craptastic Aveo is WOW. This is definitely an improvement. Hopefully GM follows through and doesn't awaken its army of cost cutters to dull the product.
I learned to drive a stick shift by driving a Datsun 510 in a local cemetary. It didn't matter that my friend and I were 15 at the time and illegally driving his father's car. Between the illegal use of a vehicle and waking up the dead, I am guarenteed a quick trip to Hell.
@beercheck: Last time I checked the ZR1 went around the 'Ring just fine
Despite my curiosity of FTF's love affair with that model, there is a pristine example Tempo (1 street over from my house) owned by an elderly couple in baby blue (it does have the V6) and is in very good shape. It looks like one of the later models (but FTF would know better).
@WJHMH: Just saw that video....classic
He has a bumper sticker stating" My other car is a H2"
Good for them. The NASIOC is a really popular site with alot of good tech info and really passionate fanbase.
Obviously the Aztek is a classic example of great ideas marred by poor execution. Other recent examples are the Caliber and Saturn Ion. By the time Chrysler and Saturn made changes to appease consumer complaints, it was too late. The Reatta, Allante, Chrysler TC, new Thunderbird, Delorean, Renault Allaince, GM X-type…
@brickyard: Thank you for the list. I was going to suggest a Subaru engine as a proper engine upgrade for a 914
1)Fluids
@gessvt: That is brilliant. I always loved DCG and Tom H. is pretty well known car guy. Titus and Carolla are verifiable car nuts. Listen the UK version will always be best, but if TGUSA can be somewhat inventive without trying to be the UK version, it may have a chance.
@joedirtia: I'm not sure, but I will chalk this up to a preproduction model being road tested in the US to work out any glitches. Last thing this needs is the Toyota Camry exhaust system that is plainly visible to passing motorists
@gfelippo: This is what I want to hear. When I saw the press release and specs on the Mahindra truck, I was intrigued. Fully boxed frame plus powerful but efficient diesel power. Mahnidra took it to JD Power to see what changes were needed to fit into the North American market, so Mahindra is taking this debut…
Ok, the Mahindra is never going to to be the Prom Queen. She is more of the goth chick in the corner with parental issues. But this truck will do two things properly; 1)be a legitimate small work truck with proper axles, ground clearance and built in utility and 2) do it efficently with a work horse diesel engine.
@longdx: garish-sp
@DR1665: my coworker had a 1991 VR4 that was modded and was a perfect sleeper car. Monsterous power, bland styling (to those not in the know), AWD and without the graish boy racer looks.
@evoCS-Hench-Minion to the stars: I definitely agree. IndyCar needs a fresh dose of engineering to really set itself apart from other series.
For the record, I like Liz Phair and Sheryl Crow. They are good musicians. Also, If you like you Prius that is fine. I am happy for you. (from an engineering perspective. the Prius is a pretty competent vehicle with a decent reliability record).
