I don’t think it’s fair to refer to AOC as a frightened little child.  Her heart seems to be in a good place, even if her ideas aren’t sustainable.  I’m sure as she learns a bit more about how the real world works, she will evolve.

I didn’t say she was making promises she couldn’t deliver. I made a general statement that promising people free things that you can’t actually deliver on is a great way to get elected. (See Trump’s Wall).

Rugged individualism isn’t about ‘success’ it’s about independence and self-reliance.   There’s nothing selfish about providing for oneself.  

Promising people free things that you can’t actually deliver on is a great way to get elected. Especially if you’re courting young people who vote with their hearts and not their heads.

But what the fuck is with the education thing? It has been generally accepted for over a century that kids deserve education, to the point that not only does the government provide it, but the government MANDATES that children go to school
