Modern cars don’t get a whole lot lighter than BRZ/FRS/GT86, and Miata, and pass federal safety standards.

Also worth noting, if I can’t reach it while driving, it really doesn’t matter if it “works” or not.

Na, some James Bond caltrops, oil slick, smoke screen or machine guns would be better.  Of course those require getting away with it...

I actually hate the auto dimming mirror on my car. It never dims enough and I am always blinded at night. I’ve taken to putting electrical tape over the sensor. I’d rather have the old school manual switch.

I wish more cars came with LESS features. My want list of things is short- the only things that might be considered “amenities” that I want in a car are cruise control and AC. I don’t want anything else. I don’t want power seats or power windows. I don’t want a touchscreen or infotainment system. I don’t want Bluetooth

I want a SIMPLIFIED option package. I would honestly pay extra to have a stripped down vehicle with vinyl flooring, no driving tech beyond basic cruise control, a simple AM/FM radio with CarPlay (and no manufacturer infotainment BS), power windows/locks and lose 500 lbs worth of crap I don’t need or use.

Quarter lights. AKA the crotch-blower.

Second’d on that floor mounted high-beam switch.  Love those!

I would like for ‘option packages’ to go away.

I would like a base interior trim Truck, with the powerful engine, towing packages, + parking assistance, + power mirrors. but to get all that, I have to go all the way to the Lariat trim level on an F150, which has a plush leather interior. I don’t want an leather

These little window vents, such as on old 4Runners. Just the perfect amount of air aimed directly up your shorts. Heavenly.

A whole lot of two pedal manuals out there ruining things for you?

Anti-tailgating built into autonomous braking systems.

-Non-ugly base trims: Why do I have to buy the top trim level to get the nice wheels? Why do they have different aero/lights/trim between them? What if I’m fine without the big engine and all the gadgets, but I still want my car to look sharp? It’s a conspiracy!!

Basic, not-integrated-into-everything stereo. Give it bluetooth, maybe a small screen for a backup camera but DON’T LET IT CONTROL THE FUCKING HVAC, DOOR LOCKS, LIGHTS, ETC.

Some manufacturers wont even let you start the car if it becomes defective or replaced. Even replaced with another OEM, sometimes it needs special

You know what I want? A code error message. All cars now have some sort of LCD screen and could display the error code & readout, but instead they display a check engine light, and then you have to connect an OBDII reader, then search the internet for what it means.

Can be bring back the following:

I’m a simple fellow. Regular tires and a spare in a dedicated storage spot in the trunk floor and suspension set up for such. An engine oil dipstick. Common sense serviceability such as a drain plug in the differential. (yes I’m mainly speaking to you BMW. But it’s applicable across the board....)

A driver that pays attention would be cool.

A manual transmission, and three pedals
