I won’t argue that point.

Even with full coverage on a paid off car you aren’t paying $XXX on a monthly car payment, so you’re still further ahead to drive a paid off vehicle.

Paid off car + repairs/maintenance will always be cheaper than payments + repairs/maintenance + full coverage insurance.

Chances are they are upside-down because they couldn’t afford a down payment.

There is a GIANT screen in the dash.

IMO, the 8 speed auto is far more fun in these cars than the manual.

Compared to my 2nd gens, the new one drives like a hippo on rollerskates, even in GT trim. They drive better than the competition, but that’s not saying much.

Hey, if the Grand Caravan wasn’t an overweight/rolly pig, and could be had with the good suspension without needing to go to the top model, I would have a brand new van in my driveway.

5th Gear: Dodge Doesn’t Seem Too Hot on the Journey or Grand Caravan

It does very well in a SWB van. I’ve done some mild porting, bigger TB, intake, and exhaust on it as well, so it pulls very strong.

If I ever come across a wrecked 4.0L/6-speed combo, it will end up in my van. The 4.0L was such an amazing engine in the vans.
