That sounds to me like more of a gearing/lack of torque issue than a how many gears issue.

Gearing is everything. A long geared 4-speed is going to be more efficient than a short geared 6-speed.

4 wheels and a steering wheel, technically he’s correct.

Are you counting the steering wheel as a wheel?????

Na, they just have $50k to go buy a brand new truck, another $35k for a brand new crossover, and $10k for a boat. Then they bitch to everyone about how broke they are.

Still stuck on that 3rd gen I see.

Again, more to do with how it’s geared than how many gears it has.

It’s ok to admit your lack of ability and skills to make a slow car fast, no need for all the jealous trolling.

I enjoy underdog cars for the looks you get when you smoke some “fast” car with them.

GLHS and Colt GTS Turbo would like a word about that.

It’s a bone stock 3.8, other than a ported 58mm tb, intake, mild port work, and full exhaust. It spins 2200rpms at 80mph.

The revs at speed are due to gearing, not being a 4-speed. My 4-speed runs 2200rpms at 80mph.

*In lab tests.

Huh, vehicle that’s 800lbs heavier, with less power is far slower, who’d have thought?

Most were brand new on the lot, GTs and RTs. 2 were 14 SXTs. They all shifted like that.

It is from a vehicle that can haul 7 comfortably while running on AT tires.

That car ran 12.9s, my minivan runs 15.2s, dude’s been trying so hard at trolling he’s getting my vehicles mixed up.

You’ve been so busy attempting to troll you can’t even keep my vehicles straight anymore.

The 1st year or 2 had issues, as can be expected with any completely new design, after 1991 all the bugs were sorted. Any with issue beyond 1991 are misdiagnosis, improper maintenance, or improper fluid issues.

Likely more to do with the engine and gearing than being a 4-speed.......
