I agree with most of your sentiment, but I think the base model Caravan of the era is what modern minivans should be.

Prior to OC, my insurance actually covered things like ER, Urgent Care, major surgery, etc.
My healthcare was far more affordable and covered far more before OC.

We were finally forced out of our grandfathered plan this year. On our old plan 80% was covered, regardless. Now we are responsible for every penny until we hit $10k, while paying more for the OC plan we were forced into.
