So you’d spend $3000 + $12000 on this 2005 Legacy, which then leaves you with a car that’s worth maybe $4000-5000 in “good” condition? No way, this is CP for sure, even at bare bottom parts/labor cost it will cost more to fix this than it is worth, no including the $3k asking price.

So much beautiful sidewall on these cars... except that one the bronze rims... ew.

I’ve been hyped for these cars since I was a kid - and I was born in ‘90 so I wasn’t even aware of some of them at the time. Sadly with the hype train going, it’s more expensive to get into... which is a shame because I’d love to have something cool as a project car to restore to pristine condition, something weird,

I don’t like either of those honestly. The porsche would be fine straight across stripe or something, but I don’t like the chequer look. The mustang on the mustang is ridiculous, what is the little wavy line off the back wheel well? horse poo smell?

Well I never thought I’d see a riced out Ferrari F40, but now I have. Beautiful car but man, I don’t get the stenciled text and aftermarket wheels, but hey, not my car.

Every NFS installment after “Most Wanted” sucked, and this movie is no exception.

Man, a couple of clear CP’s in a row.

Same, I would’ve been borrowing over half that cost from my dad as well at the time. Now that I probably could afford it, I’m not sure I’d risk it... it was easy then to speculate because even if it lost value, it wouldn’t have been (much of) my money haha.

Jalopnik: We hate crossover SUV’s!

True that. My father always gave me the advice that buying a car as an investment was never a good idea - back then he complained about me looking to spend $18,000-22,000 on a “ten year old abused sports car” 1997 Toyota Supra turbo. I regret not making that purchase because it would’ve been a great “I told you so.

I think an SM-2 is some kind of Graf, manufactured by TKTKTK.

Sorry, I had to

Clearly this article was written in haste, perhaps an SM-2 exploded and caused him to accidentally click “submit?”

No way they’d let it go that cheap, but that would be cool. Ferrari badged with some styling adjustments to give it a bit of a 246 dino throwback look. Considering the cheapest Ferrari new at the moment is something like $250k without options, They could probably make a case to sell this for $150k and do pretty well -

Or maybe that weird stick thing that comes up in the middle.

I think it’s going to depend a lot on what the Alfa Romeo brand is doing in 20 years. If they are gone from the US Market again, it will go up or retain value well. If they become well known for high end performance cars with the new 8C and Giula successors, it will go up or retain because “it was the original.” If

That price is too high for a C5 Z06 even without the accident history and hideous exterior mods. I’ve seen good ones without accidents or mods, with less mileage, going for several thousand less than this asking price - who knows what the negotiated price ended up at. This guy is crazy if he thinks he’s going to get

That’s definitely blood, just dried and browned. Pretty scary.

German made sports cars are an American icon?

I love the Evora, but it is no NSX. The main thing - and I seriously couldn’t believe this when I first read it - but to change the clutch (which must be done every 30k miles or so, which is way to short of a lifespan to begin with) you must take the engine out! Cost of a clutch job on an Evora is $10k or sowhere
