Yeah I like BBQ Show better too.

King Kahn is the bomb.

You realize that they are actually coming out with that movie "The Purge: Election Year"

I guess what I didn't understand was why they thought electrocuting it would work, especially going about it in the way that they did. Visually and symbolically it was awesome, it just seemed like a weird choice.

Interesting. It is the opposite for me, but then I am a childless teenager. I think I liked the postmodern aesthetic of It Follows enough to make up for the mythology plot holes (mostly the swimming pool plan. WTF was that?) I loved the metaphors within both movies.

I would disagree, but that's not the point. The point is that the article claims that it wasn't a smash hit, which is not true relative to the expectations of the movie.

The article says neither film was a "cultural phenomena" by comparing them to the box office draw of mainstream horror movies. But It Follows went way farther than was expected. They ended up giving it wide distribution because it was so popular for an low-budget indie film. Similar story with the Babadook. It didn't

Yet another unrealistic expectation put on women.

Well, I like you.

Oh that exceeded my expectations, thanks.

Hell yes. I loved the BFG as a kid.

Well that's good, I really want to see Wrong.
