Your emphasis of “because there’s never been any unambiguous finding of fact” leads me to believe that you think Manning didn’t do anything.

Indeed, this individual’s bizarrely narrow focus on King is well documented on other posts. Haha.
Just so we’re clear: you still believe, even after reading that post, that Manning didn’t do anything wrong?
Be sure to check out Gawker’s front page post today about Eliot Spitzer, which is essentially just one big quote box from a New York Post story. I think you were saying something about Gawker “having a line”?
They certainly do have limits. Perhaps related to Peyton Manning’s perceived flawlessness and the widespread belief that he shouldn’t be held accountable for his mistakes. I find it hard to imagine any other NFL player who would be spared of coverage of a sexual assault (which we know happened; it’s no longer alleged)…
No, the disagreement came from me asking Deadspin - a sports blog that frequently re-hashes what I would consider “hit pieces” from other outlets - why they had completely ignored this one. That was the entirety of my first post, which sent you on this bender of wordiness about why I’m wrong and the Daily News is…
Also, your posts are really long for somebody who doesn’t really have anything thoughtful to say.
“Peyton deserves to be exposed with the facts, if they are true(which some moste likely are)“
If you thought I was trolling, why do you keep writing long responses? Seems like a waste of time.
I read the first and last line of your post and that’s where I’ll stop. Have a nice day.
I was asking a serious question about willful ignorance of an important topic. Your attitude is representative of the vigorous suppression of sexual assault victims that’s endemic in this country, and it is despicable.
Deadspin doesn’t show restraint. Deadspin is just a digital version of a rag. At least the Daily News and the New York Post have proven business models.
I guess I disagree with your suggestion that anything that comes from the Daily News is automatically garbage. Deadspin itself is a great parallel: for every Manti Te’o exposé there are 500 unreadable, juvenile, incompetent posts (500 Days of Kristin is literally five-hundred examples of this).
Barry*, sorry.
Barr, any explanation for the total silence regarding the Daily News story about Peyton Manning’s sexual assault case?
