I had to reread that a bunch of times too. I think he means “look out” for miners, and just “look” for minors, since conservatives tend to believe every liberal politician is a pedophile. I can’t make it make sense any other way. And it’s still mindbogglingly stupid.
Having lived in various parts of “Dixie” for decades, I can tell you firsthand, the memory of the Confederate cause is not just still alive, it is both strong and widely prevalent, and LOTS of people instantly recognize Richmond as a symbol of The South in defiance of The North.
