if iTunes wasn't such a flaming pile of crap, you wouldn't need a tutorial. you could just point it to your music folder and it would sync any new media that was added to said folder

@BrettKS: when I command+tab (osx), thunderbird tells me I have twice as much new mail than is actually in the inbox. i thought 3.0.1 fixed that, but i guess not
