That's exactly why my school started weighing AP grades. In the class rankings, there was a big group of people who had 4.0s, but spent their entire senior year doing easy classes. Our school was also affiliated with a vo-tech, and the grades got skewed from that, because several classes were pass/fail.

I agree with this. I've always assumed Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson were trying to capture certain sounds so they do sound like other bands, but can do it without copying.
