I... I don’t know that I’ve ever read or heard such a scathing condemnation of someone expressing the notion that language is best used with care and not warped in an unwitting effort to make everything seem better.

ACTUALLY, even assuming a soul exists, let alone could be crushed, his “take” has no physical properties which would allow for any such “crushing”.

This “awesome” thing is kind of ridiculous, but, I was infuriated after I recently watched two episodes of The Best Thing I Ever Ate on Food Network, and the same person was featured on both episodes.

Back in my day, the English language didn’t evolve or change over time!
