I love how the communist regime in Cuba pretty much isolated the country from any pop culture awareness of the outside world for the past 50 years and then this low budget bullshit is like, the first thing they are exposed to.

If you watched the show, she actually clarified this and specifically said that she doesn’t condone body shaming, but if you have personal preferences, it’s okay to choose dating partners based on those preferences. The way it was described here wasn’t at all how it came across on the show.
