I think that's why it stood out. It was just sort of there.

The biggest problem for me with that movie was the ghost following her with her feet backwards. It wasn't unnerving it was just silly. Overall, though, a genuinely creepy movie that uses darkness and unknown history effectively.

Yeah, the morning after to the coven in total is wonderful.

alt-J pisses me off because it's a spoken form for ∆. Hey, you know how you pronounce that? Delta! It already has a pronunciation you dolts!

If there's a regressive perspective, it's a pretty safe bet that the Nazis took it.

I liked it, though, in part that's because it somehow elicited a response from Trump that could not be more ironic. I do like that Bannon is literally there Grim Reaper, that veers well into the absurd for me, which is lovely. It would be great if they just kept that up, so that everytime he comes on here literally

I think they should just keep doing iterations of that until he gets it. So, forever.

Shouldn't that be 'SCKREEEEEEeeeeeEEEEeeeEeeEeEe! All aboard the Merzboat!'?

Apropos of nothing, I love the absolutely stupid pun of your name.

I understand wish-washiness on most of her stuff, but the first side of Hounds of Love ('Mother Stands for Comfort' excluded), is absolutely essential.

It's an aux in. He has to bring a discman into the car.

I just watched this yeterday and it's been rattling around in my brain ever since then. As a result, I don't this was as satisfying as it could've been because I immediately recognized the actual implications of the scenes being shown. So it was really just the movie with some wacky music.

Whenever I want to get into a particular genre of music, I like looking at rate your music's page on that genre: https://rateyourmusic.com/g… It's not definitive by any means, but it gives you a good overview. Also look at The Eternal Dream System compilation. Four hours of well curated vaporwave.

As far as mallsoft goes, I really like Palm Mall by 猫 シ Corp. The title track does an excellent job of simply relaying that feeling of emptiness within an enormous cavernous mall. I feel like the vaporwave that I enjoy the most has an undercurrent of sadness and cynicism to me. Vektroid's stuff seems to have that

I did that for the longest time. I was like, oh, that's an interesting name for a musical genre that traffics in 90s warped nostalgia. It was months before I realized it was Vaporwave and I was kind of disappointed.

'All of which is to say vaporwave had yet to produce an album that’s wholly worth wading through these myriad levels of irony, culture jamming, and Derrida deconstruction.' I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I feel like this is a weird dismissal of Floral Shoppe.

I'm not sure I would say that it's nearly as po-faced as people are making it out to be. There's definitely a self-awareness about it, some of Nmesh's albums being a pretty good example of taking the piss out of it while also working within it. I think it gets a lot of bemused glances because it was kind of always

Oh, no, that wasn't their intention at all, I'm using deconstructed in a purely theoretical sense to suggest that you can tear the joke down and reconstruct it in a more meta fashion.
